CROSSINCULTURE exists to help raise the cultural competency of organizations; addressing the growing issues around diversity and how best to utilize a wider range of it human resources. Embracing these issues will assist organizations in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. The strength of Crossinculture lies in its use of interactive training designed to help employees and organizational leaders better understand and manage their internal culture. We also assist organizations better engage with communities that are diverse in culture.

RODERICK SIMMONS | PRESIDENT/COO
President/COO of Crossinculture, a consulting firm with extensive experience in providing cultural competency training for organizations desiring to enhance their cultural awareness levels.
Simmons also is on staff at Judson University, serving as the the Director of Diversity and Spiritual Development. He assists faculty and academic support staff in shaping an inclusive educational experience that will prepare and empower Judson graduates for life. In addition to this Simmons serves as an adjunct professor, providing instruction about cultural diversity.
Simmons has built coalitions and collaborations across nonprofit, religious, and educational sectors. He has mobilized volunteers in the community to engage and expand the number of Spanish-speaking advocates for a social justice agency. He has also organized round table discussions at Judson University and Wheaton College.
Simmons earned his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies at Judson in 1994 and his masters of Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College in 2016. In his new role as Judson’s Director of Diversity and Spiritual Development, Simmons will assist faculty and academic support staff shape an inclusive educational experience that will prepare and empower Judson graduates for life. Simmons also will work with the University community to develop programs, policies, and practices that promote an institutional culture of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence.

WHAT WE DO
Facilitate Interactive Cultural Competence sessions for group learning and dialogue to address the growing issues around diversity.
Coach leaders and teams to better understand and manage their internal culture and engage in the diverse communities around them.
Consult organizations in Cultural Proficiency through assessment and helping them set organizational objectives that lead to growth and change.
